Inspection conducted as a routine inspection.
Outfall 001 was discharging on the day of inspection. The discharge did appear slightly turbid. Facility had collected sample to be analyzed. Will review results when they are submitted.
Outfall 002 and 003 were not discharging at the time of inspection.
Facility was cleaning some sediment out of Pond 8 at the time of inspection. Facility should watch Pond 8 closely and clean sediment out as needed. Mr. Dave Sutherland and I discussed some additional BMPs that could be added up-gradient of Pond 8.
All mining areas appeared to be within the permit boundary. Drainage is directed to BMPs or to sediment ponds.
