Site inspection was conducted as a routine inspection.

Facility plans to increase their disturbed acreage but is not adding any permitted acreage to the facility.

No erosion issues noted at time of inspection. Drainage at the site is controlled through basins or BMPs. Drainage from all the areas currently disturbed is directed to treatment pond 2. Water is pumped from the mine void in the northeast portion of the site to treatment pond 2 as needed. The heavy solids area allowed to settle in treatment pond 2 prior to being pumped to treatment pond 1, where Outfall 001 is located. The water is pumped through a chemical mixing tank and treated as it is pumped into treatment pond 1.

The water in the the treatment pond where Outfall 001 is located appeared clear at time of inspection. Outfall 001 was discharging at time of inspection. The discharge water appeared clear. Discussed sampling requirements with facility. Facility is going to collect a sample of the discharge and report in Net DMR.
