Notes
Site was In Compliance. Inspection was conducted as a routine inspection. Site was active at time of inspection.
Drainage at the site is controlled through basins or BMPs. Drainage from the area that is being stripped to the north is directed back into the pit. Drainage from area where facility is dumping overburden is directed back into the pit.
There was no discharge at Outfall 001 at time of inspection. DMRs have been submitted as required. There was a minor TSS exceedance reported at 46.0mg/L in July 2021. The facility's NPDES effluent limit for TSS is 40.0mg/L. Facility notified me of the exceedance when they became aware of it and told me what they did to try to prevent future exceedances. Additional rip rap check dams were installed. During the inspection facility showed me the additional internal BMPs they installed to try to prevent any future exceedances. Facility collected an additional sample in July after the exceedance occurred and it was below detection limits. Facility has not reported any additional exceedances.
