TDEC inspectors, Becky Lenz, Bonnie Craighead, and Daniel Lawrence met with Kyle on site to discuss dye tracing to determine the source of the sediment in the stream across from the site. TDEC inspectors conducted an inspection of the stream due to it being rainy, and rain is a trigger of the sediment issue. The stream had sediment entering it at the same location and at another slightly more upstream. Samples were taken at the main location where sediment enters the stream and another upstream. TDEC laboratory data will be uploaded once it is received.
Water quality indicator parameters were taken with the samples.
Downstream: Specific Conductivity: 400.6 us/cm ; Dissolved Oxygen: 7.32 mg/L; Temp: 21.29 degrees Celsius; pH: 8.67
Upstream: Specific Conductivity: 373.8 us/cm ; Dissolved Oxygen: 8.44 mg/L; Temp: 20.23 degrees Celsius; pH: 8.22.
