Notes
TDEC inspectors Rebecca Lenz and Daniel Lawrence, as well as intern Brendan Donovan, inspected the facility on the afternoon of the 10th to discuss past complaints and color contrast noted in the adjacent unnamed trib to Bullrun Creek. No recent complaints have been received. No color contrast was noted in-stream during today's inspection. No adverse effects were identified in stream from previous color contrast events. Substrate and color of the streambed were identical upstream and downstream of the "seep" location. The source of the seep has still not been definitively determined. Inspectors spoke with Kyle Gaerke regarding potential dye trace during an upcoming rain event.
The processing plant located near the front of the property is not currently in operation. A portable processing plant is in use, and is located closer to the quarry pit. Kyle Gaerke discussed plans for future processing operations and regrading of the processing area towards the pit.
No problems noted.
