Notes
The inspection revealed the treatment basins above DMP002 had not been constructed and there was evidence of sediment discharge into the wet weather conveyance that flows to DMP002 and then to the tributary below DMP002. In addition, an excavated notch was observed north of DMP002 on the southeast side of the current active pit, with bare soil side slopes and evidence of sediment mobility through the notch on the downstream side of the upland bordering the active pit. The treatment basins or other measures should be constructed so that no untreated water discharges at DMP002. The notch constitutes an unpermitted discharge point. The notch should be declared as an outfall or repaired so that drainage is routed to onsite treatment structures.
