Notes
Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) were reviewed for the time period of April 2020 to March 2023. DMRs were submitted on time. Discharges were reported from Outfall, and no violations were noted on the DMRs. From March 2021 to February 2022 the facility had three non-compliant discharges due to mechanical failure of sump pump level switches or operational error, resulting in three separate notices of violation (NOVs). Rogers Group, Inc. provided documentation to the Division in April 2022 that corrective measures were taken to prevent similar violations in the future.
While on-site, the Division observed no discharge from Outfall 001. Two valves are required to be actuated to discharge processed wastewater into the receiving stream. Signs were affixed to the valves informing staff discharging is only allowed with manager approval. The sump pump has converted its mechanical high- and low-level switches to electronic switches, which should eliminate the risk of mechanical failure the facility experienced during 2021. The receiving stream appeared to be in the same condition upstream and downstream of Outfall 001. The berms throughout the facility and along the haul roads appeared in good condition.
The facility appears to be well maintained and operated.
