Notes

An inspection was conducted on February 29, 2024. Bonnie Craighead, Emily Bonts, Corey Buckner (Site Rep), and Jeff Watson (Facility Contact) were present. Both outfall 001 and 003 were discharging at the time of inspection. The discharges were measured by TDEC using a water-quality multi-meter. All discharges were within limits. All BMPs including berms, ditches, ponds, and stabilized overburden areas were in place and in good condition. The site is in compliance with the NPDES permit.

This facility has a pH meter on site used for water quality sampling. The pH calibration solutions for the meter were expired at the time of inspection. Mr. Buckner said he would get new solutions before the next sampling event.

Since the last site inspection, the Walker Mill Dam and a coffer dam were removed and one sinkhole filled in the Little Pigeon River to reduce seepage into the permit area.
