Comments recieved Nov. 3, 2014 form Clark Annis: Crossville Wastewater Sewer Collection Responded to the complaint in regard to a sewer overflow in the wooded hollow adjacent to the Kroger Parking lot last Friday October 31, 2014 as soon as we were made aware. We walked the sewer line from the Obed River and found a manhole partially blocked by grease and debris. The blockage was cleared and the sewer line cleaned. There are five restaurants and the Kroger Deli on this line. We will inspect this area more regularly and discuss Best Management Practices with the restaurants. The ground was limed and covered with straw where the partial overflow had occurred. The stream is now clear but has iron deposit below the area of fill where the Krogers and other stores were built by the developer several years ago.
